Welcome!

Anusia Cafe is a vegetarian cafe that is committed to offering tasty, meat-free meals made from organic ingredients. We would love to see more people going meat-free for one or two days a week or even more; it makes sense on so many levels.

We have our own vegetable garden just outside Tring that provides our kitchens with salad leaves, fresh herbs, vegetables and fruit, which means less food miles. All fruit and veg that we do not grow comes from two dedicated organic wholesalers, so you can be rest assured that our food and drink is all virtually organic. All milk and dairy products are organic from British farms and we use rapeseed oil from Meads Farm in nearby Wilstone.

We recently gained a 3 star accreditation from The Sustainable Restaurant Association, which is the highest rating achievable. This verifies our food sourcing, recycling, energy use, staff and customer well being.

Anusia Cafe underwent a sustainability survey during October, 2011. The survey dealt with sourcing of produce, energy use, waste, treatment of employees and community involvement. Anusia scored 73% and 70% is needed to gain the top rating of 3 stars. Over 90% of our waste is composted and recycled. Virtually all of what we serve is organic.
