Best Coffee in Town
We have been told that our organic, fairtrade and rainforest alliance tikki coffee is the best in town!
Welcome!
We are a vegetarian restaurant that aims to satisfy your senses and clear your mind. The menu is an ever evolving collaboration of many, it is meatless because we believe that the world will be a better place, if we stop the increase in the consumption of meat. We are organic because we believe in our well being and and the purity of the soil that supports us all.
Vegetarianism is not just about what is on your plates - it is a holistic philosophy, a non-violent way of life and thinking.
The Green House opened in November 2008 and now with much fine tuning is delighting its customers with fine cuisine and pleasant surroundings. The restaurant is situated in a 17th century listed building not far from the main church in Tring town centre.
There are 3 floors, each creating a unique setting, so occasions can be catered for from an intimate dinner for two to a celebration for up to ninety people. Our 2nd floor private dining room makes an ideal conference facility for up to twenty persons.
We are the only restaurant in Tring and the surrounding area serving virtually all organic food and drink. Please let us know if this is incorrect.

Another delicious meal at The Green House, July 5th, 2010
You don’t have to be a vegetarian to eat, enjoy and appreciate the delicious food at The Green House in Tring High Street. Rosemarie and I went there for supper last Friday and ate a tasty, beautifully prepared meal that was not only of high quality but very good value for money. With good food, good service and good beers and wines, what more could you ask for?
Rosemarie chose Parsnip and Sweetcorn Soup, followed by Mushroom, Asparagus and Broad Bean Risotto while I dined off their own picquant version of Welsh Rarebit, followed by Spicy Chickpea and Red Kidney Bean Burger. Rosemarie’s Pinot Grigio Veneto and my excellent Ridgeway Rob beer nicely complemented a first-class culinar experience.
